Jason Hershey, owner and CEO of Tellus Consulting and Project Management, is a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Project Management Professional (PMP), and Certified Scrum Master (CSM). He holds a Masters of Business Administration in Finance and Marketing from the City University in Bellevue, Washington and a Bachelor of Arts in Business/Foreign Languages from New York University.
Jason was employed with Microsoft for nearly 20 years on a number of product teams, including Microsoft Official Curriculum, Windows Client and Server, SQL Server, and the Office product team. He designed, developed, and deployed solutions using SharePoint, from SharePoint 2007 to SharePoint 2013, and the full stack of Microsoft technologies across the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC) and IT service lifecycle (ITIL).
Jason has extensive experience leading software development projects, infrastructure deployments, and business process improvements, along with experience with open source software and solutions, and custom variations.
In addition, Jason has more than 20 years’ experience in technical training and user education, with expertise in courseware development, learning management systems (LMS), Instructor Lead Training (ILT), and virtual learning environments. He shares his technical and business expertise through seminars and classes throughout the Puget Sound. He regularly teaches classes through Sky Valley Community Schools, the Lake Stevens School District Adult Education Program, and the Mill Creek Schools Community School Program. He is also holds a real estate instructor’s license from the State of Washington, which allows Jason to teach a full range of pre-licensing and continuing education courses for the real estate industry. Some of his projects including certification training for Microsoft SharePoint 2016 and developing clock-hour qualified technical training aimed at the real estate industry.
In addition to IT consulting expertise, Jason is an entrepreneur with extensive business strategy, client acquisition, and employee development experience. He has more than 10 years’ experience as a real estate broker, assisting first time investors and property owners in learning about real estate processes, as well as owning and managing his own real estate portfolio.
Jason and his team collaborate to gain a deep understanding of the pros and cons of different approaches to customer solutions. They are experts at understanding the big picture and focusing on the connections that others miss: between groups of users, between various technologies, and between separate solutions.
